Absolutely Beautiful

A couple days ago, I saw the most beautiful sight. I was driving into work and I looked to my left and what do I see. I see this beautiful pre-sunrise. You know that time before the sun actually peaks out from behind the horizon. When all you see if the beautiful red glow in the sky. The glow that fills your spirit. I just couldn't keep my eyes off it. I would look away and all I could see in front of me was the darkness of the night. But I would look to my left and see this beautiful red glow that filled me with hope of the new coming day. As I drove on, I kept taking a peek of the beautiful sky like you would when you see a beautiful woman but don't want to be rude and stare. It was one of those mornings I wish I could have pulled over and just watch the sun come up and see this gorgeous morning sky turn into the hopeful day.

The Saddest Thing

I saw the saddest thing today. I heard a goose honking and I looked up and I saw a single goose honking.Flying over head. Trying it's best to catch up with the rest of the flock. Honking constantly trying to encourage itself to keep going, that it is just a little further. That soon there would be time to rest. To be with friends and family once again. As it flew out of sight I could not help but think that is like all of us as we run around each day doing what we need to do. So that we can return home to famliy and friends.
